The NextEnergy building
The NextEnergy headquarters…
a model of energy efficiency.

NextEnergy has used the most up-to-date integrated building and renewable energy design in the construction of its new headquarters. The result is a commercial building with energy consumption levels of 1/15th of a comparable fossil fuel installation.

The NextEnergy headquarters has been designed as a building dynamometer where all consumption and production of energy related activities can be monitored and modified in real-time. The headquarters is a kind of learning laboratory, assisting the company’s understanding of commercial building heating and cooling dynamics, providing knowledge that can be applied to other buildings to reduced energy consumption and pollutants.

NextEnergy now operates a cost effective headquarters, eliminating emissions that would be generated by over 70 cars. Every employee at NextEnergy is working in a 0 emission building. This has been accomplished with “off the shelf technologies” and without government assistance.
